DeadKeys is a small tabletop roleplaying community that lives on IRC, a text chat system that has been around since 1988 and is still one of the best ways to play a game in words. We play, plan, and hang out in channels: named chat rooms like #deadkeys.

The easiest way in is the web client: it runs in your browser, with nothing to install. If you already use an IRC client (a chat app for IRC), point it at the settings above and join #deadkeys to say hello.
Active Games
Night City Terminal (Cyberpunk RED)
A Cyberpunk RED game set in Night City. The game hasn't been running long and the pace is slow, but we're chugging along. New characters are welcome. To make one, use the online builder and bring your ideas to #cpr-planning.
Most are active in the morning and evenings US times. It can take a while to get a response, but I promise you will get one if you're patient. If you drop an email address or some other way to contact you in channel if you can't wait, the GM will reach out!

Join on the web client, or type /join #cpr-ooc, #deadkeys in your own IRC client. Anyone can join #cpr-ooc; the other CPR game channels need a registered nickname.

Solo RPG journals and stories written from a character's point of view: Thousand Year Old Vampire, Apothecaria, Ironsworn, and more. Characters from our past games are welcome to keep their journals going here.
Archived Games
These games have ended, but nothing was thrown away. You can browse their wikis and character sheets exactly as they were, or download everything as plain files to keep.

Getting Started
#deadkeys and #cpr-ooc are open to everyone, so feel free to drop in and say hello before you set anything up. Some game channels need a registered nickname. The IRC guide walks you through it step by step, and it only takes a few minutes.

The Small Web
DeadKeys is also on Gemini and Gopher, two quieter, simpler cousins of the web. Everything we keep is plain text, so you can open it in any text editor, search it, and keep your own copy.
